August 2008 SPAM Filters
Could
be blocking your mail from WWCHE....
Email and Internet
Service Providers (ISP) are ever striving to protect us and our families
from unwanted spam (junk email). Because Wisdom’s Way broadcasts
emails using a distribution list, sometimes when an ISP changes it
security settings, these messages could be blocked before they ever get
to you. Last year, this happened to our members who use yahoo. As
recently as yesterday, several of our members who use Comcast have
reported not getting their Wisdom’s Way emails from Kim Turner or their
Newsletters from Mary Lou Millett. To prevent your WWCHE emails from
being deleted as spam by your email program or ISP before you get a
chance to read them, you need to set up your spam filter settings so
that your spam or junk mail goes to folder before being deleted. You
can then peruse your spam or junk mail folder for potential good
messages. If you find a keeper, then simply mark it as “not spam”.
This should be a one time thing. Once a sender (like wwche.org) is
marked as “not spam”, they will always appear in your inbox
thereafter. If you use Comcast Web Mail, click on the following link
for more detailed instructions:
http://help.comcast.net/content/faq/How-do-I-enable-spam-filters.
Attention ALL YAHOO
users! If you have a YAHOO account, you may not be receiving email from
WWCHE. Yahoo recently changed their interface. Because WWCHE email
(including the Newsletter) are sent as through a distribution list, this is
causing the new Yahoo interface to automatically assume WWCHE mail is
“Spam”. To correct this:
-
Open your spam
(bulk) folder
-
Select a message
from WWCHE using the check box to the left of the message
-
Go to the top and
click on “NOT SPAM”.
You should only have to
do this one time.

All newsletters are archived
on the website each month.
The most current newsletter can always be downloaded
by going to
http://wwche.org/wisdomsway/newsletters.htm
Because the newsletter is for WWCHE members only,
you will be prompted for your password.
