Kim's Korner

Welcome to Wisdom's Way and welcome back to our returning members! It's hard to believe we are about to begin our homeschool year! Please know that Wisdom's Way is here to support you and your family and I hope that our activities and events enrich your kid's edu-cation and provide much needed fellowship and Christian friendship for you and for them. I wanted to remind you of a few important things about our group: · Please utilize our website for information about events and activities. The calendar is up-dated continuously so visit it when you have questions. · You can expect our monthly newsletter on or following the first of each month and it will come to you via the email address you included on your membership application. Please print it or save it for reference. · You may also receive recorded Calling Post messages via your phone. These will be sent to the primary phone number you listed on your application. These messages will be for last-minute changes or announcements regarding our activities. · Our Yahoo e-group is a great way to get info, ask questions, share ideas, make friends and submit prayer requests. This is for Wisdom's Way members only and everyone is sent an in-vitation to join. · If you have address, email, phone number changes or births, please submit changes via the contact area on the website or contact a board member. · Finally, our membership directory is password protected for your security and found in the "News and Information" portion of our website. It includes personal information about your family, curriculum and church. The password was sent to you in your welcome letter and should not be shared with anyone not a member of Wisdom's Way. Please save this for fu-ture reference and use the directory for contacting other members but not for solicitations, sales, etc. Looking forward to seeing you soon!

I just want to remind everyone of a few beginning of the year administrative items that you want to be sure your get done. First, send in your Declaration of Intent letter to your county education con-tact as soon as you begin your school year. There have been some changes in leadership in a few counties and with that there are different things being asked of you in regards to filing your paper-work and attendance sheets. GHEA has recently posted a memo outlining the GA law regarding your letter of intent and it can be accessed on their website at www.ghea.org and click on "Know the Law." We recommend that you comply with the law and be a positive example for the homeschool community. Second, your attendance is due at the end of each month and no later than the 10th of the following month. If you are a member of Wisdom's Way Yahoo group, you will receive a monthly reminder. Lastly, take a moment to look into membership benefits for GHEA; which is your state homeschool association and HSLDA; which is your legal homeschool affilia-tion. There is a link on the WW website under "News and Information" which entitles you to a 15% discount when referring to the WW group discount number for HSLDA membership. On behalf on the Wisdom's Way Board of Directors, we welcome our returning members and look forward to meeting our new members at the New Member Meet & Greet on August 21st. You are blessed and highly favored of God. No weapon formed against you will prevail.
